Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 23, 2026

Kudoly does not have its own servers and does not collect, see, or receive your data. Everything you create stays in your own private iCloud account. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking.

What data the app handles

All of the following is created by you and stored in your private iCloud:

The app also uses a push notification token provided by Apple so a recipient's device can be notified when they receive a new medal. This token is handled by Apple's Push Notification service and is not used to identify you to us.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) in the private database tied to your Apple Account, and — when you choose to invite someone — in a share you create for that specific person. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive a copy of it.

Sharing with other people

Kudoly only shares medals with someone when you explicitly invite them by creating a share link for that person. The recipient can see the medals you have shared with them. No data is shared with anyone else, and nothing is ever made public by the app.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app uses them to tell a recipient when they earn a new medal. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS/watchOS Settings app.

Children's privacy

Kudoly is rated 4+ and is intended for family use. The app does not knowingly collect personal information beyond the names and notes an account holder chooses to enter, all of which remain in that account holder's private iCloud.

Your choices and rights

Because your data lives in your iCloud account, you are in control of it:

Since we do not collect or store your data ourselves, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this URL.
